  • What if my car is not in a drivable condition or not operable can it still be transported?

    The car can still be shipped but additional fees will be applied as extra special equipment would be needed to load and transport the vehicle. The steering and brakes should be working. It is important to check first with Rocklane Freight team and will offer you best advise.

  • Can I put my personal items in my car?

    It is best not to put personal effects inside vehicle when shipping on Roll On Roll Off service as attracts thieves and may lead to your vehicle being vandalised. We do hear cases of goods inside cars stolen mainly in almost every African Port. Clients who put personal items inside the car do so at their own risk. The only safe way to load personal items is when your vehicle is loaded in the container.

  • Should i leave fuel in my vehicle when i take it to the port and how much fuel?

    Leave at least (13 Litres) 3 gallons of fuel when you drop your car at the port. This will be used when the vehicle is being driven when being loaded at departure and off loaded on arrival.

  • Is my vehicle insured in transit overseas?

    Clients are recommended to buy extra insurance policy. It is your responsibility to makesure that your shipments are adequately protected. Rocklane Freight recommend those that want insure their shipments approach insurance brokers or insurance providers and request assistance with marine insurance.

  • What information is needed to book my vehicle?

    We need the vehicle Registration Number, Chasis Number, its make or model and the full name of the sender and address as well as the full name ,address and telephone number of the receiver of the vehicle. We need also a copy of V5 document (or Log Book) and copy purchase receipt of your vehicle.
